had Groves was born into a motor sports racing family in Prineville and now lives in Bend, Oregon. At the age of five, watching is Dad, Uncle and Grandfather race at the Madras Speedway, Chad knew this was what hewanted to do when he grew up. “I love being at the track with my family because they involve me in everything at a very young age – I was part of the team,” recalled Chad.

Chad’s early introduction to motor sports and the business world (Chad’s father, Mike, owns Mike’s Fence Center & Mike’s Mobile Mix) motivated him. After graduating high school, he began working toward a degree in diesel mechanics at Linn-Benton Community College in Albany, Oregon. During breaks from his studies Chad works with family businesses and on joining his family’s companies and racing full time.

A well-rounded young man with a passion for going fast, Chad also enjoys riding Harleys, wake boarding and snowmobiling during winter months. Now 21 with lots of races under his belt, he’s developed the natural racing instincts and abilities required to become a superb driver.
